From Bow to Biennale: Artists of the East London Group: by David Buckman.
This is the definitive book about the Group. Researched over a period of nearly twenty years from c.1987, David Buckman managed to interview the last few surviving members of the ELG prior to their respective deaths. As a result, the book contains invaluable first-hand reports and memories of several of the key members of the Group including those of Cecil Osborne, Phyllis Bray, Lilian Leahy and Walter Steggles as well as memories from numerous surviving family members. The revised edition runs to c.400 pages with c.200 illustrations.
A memoir of Albert Turpin’s remarkable life illustrated by Turpin’s paintings and drawings as well as cuttings, posters and photographs.
